One More Perspective: What is the Purpose of Life?

I’ve been on a search for the most effective way to collaborate with my husband, who has transitioned, and my Holy Spirit, Guides, Angels, or whoever is helping or visiting from across the veil. I have many friends and relatives on the other side, who I want to keep connection with. I’ve also got big things that I want to create before my life on the planet is over. I know it’s within my power to co-create what I wish, with the help of the Divine and my Holy Spirit. Us humans are very powerful and connected beings. Most people don’t believe that, but I know it to be true.

I’ve been shown several ways to raise my vibration, and energy. This is important to me not only because I want to have a deeper connection with the Divine, but because I want to attract more good stuff in my life and help improve the lives of others. What I’ve learned about raising vibration and energy has been effective, but over time, I seem to lose my focus. I’m coming to the conclusion that my lack of focus may be serving a purpose that I hadn’t yet considered. In my search for the best technique to open my heart, my creative center, and my pineal gland, the link to the Divine and source of some really amazing neuro-chemicals, I’ve discovered something about myself, and a few truths that might resonate with you, too.

First, everything I’ve learned, or given my time and attention to, wasn’t a waste of time. While I was contemplating my newly discovered methods of tapping in this morning, methods I was really excited about, I realized I couldn’t throw out the others I had learned. It wasn’t that the others didn’t work, they were just different. They worked according to my level of excitement about them. In a broader perspective, I remembered the courses I’ve taken, the meetings I’ve sat through, the jobs I’ve had, the relationships, the work and volunteer work, the books I’ve read or streams I’ve watched, the time spent waiting for something or someone, and time being by myself in silence. Nothing has ever really been a waste of time. Everything brought me to the next something that was exciting and new to me.

Second, no one thing is the right thing. No one religion, political system, or method of anything is the one right way. There are eight billion of us on the planet. That’s eight billion unique personalities and perspectives; eight billion life experiences. If I believe one thing/way in particular is the only right thing, it’s simply my own belief. If I have even a tiny understanding of another’s “right thing”, I realize that mine isn’t the only one. If there are two right things, than one does not prevail. When I let go of my perspective that there is only one best way, or right thing, I was free to open my mind to other possibilities. I realized I didn’t even have to share an opinion on it. I just need to explore options and do what feels best at the time. Everyone has something to contribute. I can learn something from all that I experience, and decide for myself what works for me.

Third, all paths lead to the same mountaintop. I believe there is a supreme intelligence and energy that we all originated from. It’s a part of us and we are a part of it. Even if one doesn’t believe in God, we are still connected to it. God/Source is radiant and pure unconditional love, intelligence, and levity (in other words, don’t take things so damned serious!). We all feel it at some point in our life. My husband would say “There’s nothing closer to Heaven than swinging on the front porch with a baby in your arms!”. While David channeled Holy Spirit for the eight years before he passed, they taught us lessons in some very clever ways. Mostly, they always stressed to us to have fun, and to trust. God is in charge, they told us repeatedly. I relied on his Holy Spirit and had to really connect with my own more after David was gone (in the physical sense). But while I was focusing on connecting with them for answers, I wasn’t living my own life to the fullest. They are always guiding me on the things that matter. They don’t have to tell me about it all the time. We are communing with God when we are immersed in whatever makes us happy. I believe that is doing God’s will (another questions that comes up a lot). Joy is connection with God. When we’re afraid, we ask for God. When we surrender, we feel God. When we die, we remember God.

Finally, we are here to experience life; all of it! Nobody’s life is more or less important than anyone else. No experience that we have is meaningless. Nothing is right, or wrong. The ugly things we see on the planet teach us compassion, and cause us to collectively do better. If we aren’t happy where we are, we get to create something new for ourselves. God always sends help when we ask, and they send it in fun and surprising ways. Sometimes it’s not so fun for us in the moment, but that’s where the levity comes in. It’s always okay, they’ve got our backs. Trust ’em and see what happens. We get to lift others up by sharing our “miracle” stories with them. We share love and compassion either by giving it, or by us needing it from others. Giving or receiving, love is shared.

Through each one of our life experiences, God is experiencing life. The Universe is expanding through each of us; me, you, everyone! You give God a unique perspective that only you can give. Think for yourself and ask questions. Engage! Nobody else on the planet can be you. With every breath you take, and everything you do and feel, you are a gift to the Creator. That’s the purpose of your life!
