Most people might agree that the world is in a mess. I don’t watch the news, but I hear the fear and frustration from other people around me that do. I’m sure you have had your own experiences, and I want to share with you that the world isn’t as bad as we think. What we focus our attention on affects us in many ways, and how we feel is important to how we experience our lives. If you live hyper-focused on how bad things are, it will affect your health, your well-being and your ability to interact in a healthy way with those around you. Not only that, but your focused attention will attract things to you of comparable energy. If you’re in a low vibrational state, you get low vibrational experiences. In other words, if you keep complaining about your life, the Universe will give you more to complain about. It’s not judging or punishing, it’s just giving you more of what you focus on. I figured this out first hand over many years, and I finally realized I didn’t have control of outside circumstances, but I did have control of my feelings about them. I began to question my perception of the world, and I started to pick up on a different energy that’s at work underneath everything; to see the bigger picture, to see the good in the world. It was life-changing! I still have some unpleasant experiences, when my thinking gets out of sorts, but I have far more wonderful times now, when I’m aware and in a state of appreciation.
The Earth is a place of contrast, but we have the ability to choose what we draw into our experience; good or not so good. Don’t be hypnotized by your environment, the media, politics, what your friends or family tell you, etc. It just gets you confused, angry or afraid. When we’re in that state, we give our power away to the loudest voice. Investigation is key. Ask yourself, am I hearing accurate information or am I being manipulated? Take a moment to think it through before reacting, or buying in, to anything. We’re at dire risk if we don’t go deeper and ask the right questions. The darkness can lead us to the light, but so can the light. Which path do you want to travel?
The contrast is a clue that there’s always good going on somewhere within a negative situation. Find it! You don’t have to feel bad all the time. The light is far more powerful, and feels a lot better. The pain we suffer in unhealthy relationships or situations tells us it’s time to move. When we wake up to our own inner power, we mobilize. Nurturing ourselves first, and then serving humanity becomes our passion. We are gaining a deeper understanding of the magical connection between us, nature, and the universe. I’ve discovered, after seeking out various fringe groups that there are huge communities of people working toward love and compassion, taking care of Gaia, and each other. At our core, this is who we are. We are gaining some real scientific understanding about how our brain connections have become improperly wired, skewing our perceptions and behaviors, and how we can heal ourselves physically and emotionally through the mind. See Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work and his documentary, Source; It’s Within You

Keep looking for the abundance good in the world. Your connection to Source, which is your 24/7 channel to love and goodness, is within you. You can never be separate from it, no matter what’s going on around you. Make time to connect to it frequently, spending a few moments when ever you can in silence, with eyes closed. You’ll begin to find your bliss and get into the flow there. You’ll see yourself moving more fluidly, and things becoming more effortless. Ask your inner guidance to show you what to do. Be patient and the answers will come at the best time. The most magical and exciting times in my life were when I let my inner guidance lead the way, rather than my rational problem-solving monkey mind that automatically anticipates trouble. If our hearts are open for goodness, it will find us. It’s good practice to pay attention to what we’re giving our attention to!
Your heart is a magnet that draws goodness to you. You will always get what you need from the Divine and it’s always better when you’re in a place of love and compassion. Even in the worst of situations, we find love when we realize we cannot change things, and we surrender our need to control. We get tired of fighting. We rest. We find peace. We realize we didn’t need to fight. Things will work out just as they’re supposed to.
Our deceased loved ones are still around and love us deeply. I felt this connection very strongly after my husband, David, passed. I had to surrender. God’s in charge and when it’s time to go home, we go. They didn’t ask me if I was okay with it. I knew there was a bigger purpose for everything that had happened to us, and I’m still trusting that I’ll get more guidance on this. I had to let go of any regrets or guilt. There’s no judgement on the other side. We must forgive ourselves here and now for anything we’re holding onto and give ourselves permission to heal so we can thrive. The happier we are, the easier we can connect with our deceased loved ones. They’re still a part of our lives and they want us to enjoy our time here. We need to let go of anything that’s holding us back from a beautiful life experience. Love yourself enough to leave toxic relationships. If you’re in a toxic relationship, you might need to make some hard decisions and end the relationship to get your sanity back. I’ve been in abusive relationships and they only get worse. You can’t fix the other person. If you are a sensitive person, there’s a good chance you might have attracted narcissists into your life. If you’re not sure, there are plenty of resources online that describe their characteristics. It took courage, but I left mine and got my life back. Seek help and do what’s best for you and your situation. There are plenty of agencies that are available to help you. I have a link here about identifying narcissists, codependency and trauma relationships. What if it’s not codependency? Trauma bond
Take time to be you. Do what makes you happy. Make time to pamper yourself. Connect with loving and supportive friends or family members. Appreciate those relationships. If you’re just not feeling it, find gratitude in the smallest things like, I have a soft bed, it’s beautiful weather today, I am healthy, I have a place to live, etc. It will grow from there and you’ll find more things to appreciate. With practice, you’ll feel your connection to everything and everyone. When you can accept what is, knowing that everything changes, you can see each moment as magical and precious. It’s your practiced perception that creates your reality. Why not make it good?
Forgive yourself and leave excuses behind. Find the path of least resistance. If there’s something you’ve been putting off doing and you know it will make you feel better, do it. You don’t have to explain yourself or make excuses about why you haven’t done it yet. You just hadn’t. End of story. Sometimes it’s just about getting started. If you’re a perfectionist, like me, you might put things off because you think it won’t be good enough. Give yourself a break. Whatever you’re doing will get better with practice. Just start. Be patient with yourself. It might start out crappy but keep going. It’s going to get better. You’ll learn a lot along the way. other people may not get you, and that’s okay. Be your authentic self. You have a voice, you have talent, you have a purpose. Express yourself! Here’s a link to Lee Harris, whose Soul Magic workshop I recently attended. You can find peace and joy, even when the world seems to be a mess. There’s so much good in the world. You are part of that goodness. Give up the fight. Let go of resistance and find your flow in what is, in your own environment. Find your own inner wisdom and let others be who they are. None of us are expected to change the world, but we can change how we perceive the world, and that makes all the difference.
Here’s some other cool links of inspiration that I’ve appreciated. It’s always fun to learn new things, to keep your mind and eyes open…
