Have you ever gotten caught in that loop, every morning you wake up and you feel like itโs the same pattern of thought? Not much joy or excitement to get your day started. Getting out of bed is not pleasant, and you dread the day ahead. You know better than to let your mind go negative, but it happens anyway. You know enough to try and find some positive frame of reference, but itโs challenging. Then you wonder what the hell is wrong with you. You know better. Your life is OK, so why canโt you feel happy, and feel that joy that you so want in your life? You do get happy and have some great moments from time to time, but then you get stuck in that loop again when youโre not distracted by something else.
Meditation always helps me feel better. I recommend that to everyone to help connect with the Divine and to get grounded and centered. But I needed an easy process to help people like me move past the present 3D reality and on to deliberately create the life they want. There are so many great teachers that have devoted their lives to helping people find their way to a wonderful life. I believe theyโre all pointing in the same direction, just different methods to achieve the same thing. Iโm also a huge believer in the 12-Step program, which is a life-changing process to heal people with any type of addiction, including closed-mindedness and negative thinking. Thereโs a common thread in all these teachings and I love all of them. Let go of the past and focus in the present moment. But some of us have been so deeply affected by our past that itโs incredibly hard to fully let go. We have habits of thought that we arenโt even aware of. They are so deeply embedded that we canโt see them. We may have mostly overcome our negative thoughts, beliefs, and habits, and have reached a point where weโre often happy but just perhaps donโt have clarity, or we feel off, or we just canโt seem to receive the good things we are trying to attract to us. So, whatโs working under the surface, and how do we fix it if we donโt know what it is?

Thereโs the saying As Above So Below. In my studies on the afterlife and NDEโs, itโs clear that all a person on the other side needs to do to create what they want is to think it, and they have it immediately. If I understood correctly, it is a mathematical equation, but they donโt need to understand how it works to make it work. (I believe that came from Richard Martiniโs Hacking The Afterlife, which is wonderful material to listen to and/or read. Rich has several books, videos, and a podcast with Jennifer Shafer available online and on Gaia.) If As Above So Below is true, then why canโt we do that here? Well, I believe we can and I believe thatโs what the teachers have been trying to show us. We have two things at work in this reality; time/space and our own negativity.
It can be difficult to change patterns of thought. Our subconscious mind is running the show 95% of the time from old thoughts and beliefs. Itโs doing its own thing with old programming while our conscious mind is trying to get the subconscious mind to settle down, pay attention, and focus here where itโs more pleasant. Focusing in the moment works for a little while but then the subconscious mind suddenly takes off like an out-of-control 2-year-old running toward a cliff. Unless your conscious mind stays on constant alert to that subconscious during the day, youโre going to end up back in the old paradigm. But what if you give the subconscious mind something else to do so you can get on with whatever else youโre doing? What if you give it a toy to play with so itโs occupied for a while.

The subconscious mind is always actively looking for a problem to solve. This is its job. Itโs running in the background looking for past problems until you give it something else to do. When our conscious mind is fully engaged in something, the subconscious is right there engaged in the activity with it, like a 3-year-old fascinated by that new thing youโre doing. Itโs so focused with you that itโs not aware of whatโs going on outside of the conscious focus, so much so that you might not be aware when someone walks in the room, or you donโt hear the phone ring. In these moments, the conscious mind is in control. But your conscious mind tends to let go when itโs not laser-focused on a task at hand, allowing the subconscious, the uncontrollable 3-year-old, to take over the show. Then the thoughts and beliefs of the past come flooding in and you find yourself โunconsciousโ again, not in control of your own thoughts and feelings. If you train your subconscious to focus on things that are helpful to you, instead of searching through the database of past memories to revisit problems to solve, it will sit down and begin to connect you with the things you desire. You wonโt have to constantly babysit it. It will keep itself busy helping you create the future that you want in the present moment.
If you want to get the subconscious mind engaged in a positive direction, ask it questions like what would my perfect life look like? How would it feel if I had all the things I desire? What would it feel like to finish my book, to have a relationship with the perfect person for me, to have incredible abundance, to have a fulfilling career doing something I love? What would my dream home look like? What would it feel like to drive my dream car? What amazing places would I like to visit? What would it feel like to achieveโฆ(whatever you want)? Your subconscious canโt give its attention to the past while itโs working on answers to these questions. It will be busy attracting in the quantum field through your higher vibration. It will be creating new habits of thought. It will begin to focus on those new experiences as you give it new questions to ponder. Your brain will begin to make new synaptic connections while disconnecting the old ones, and your old patterns of thought will change. You are retraining your subconscious, rewiring your brain, and you will no longer be unconsciously tethered to your past. You will be actively creating your future reality.

The following process is simple, wonโt take too much time, and will get you off to a good start each day. But youโve got to commit to doing this every morning if you want lasting change. As you wake up in the morning before the subconscious has a chance to do its own thing, give it one of those questions above, something similar, or if you are really struggling with negative emotions, simply ask it What would it feel like to have the most amazing day ever? Give yourself a few moments to feel what it would be like before you get up. If itโs a challenge to find positive feelings, itโs OK. Get up and write down the question and write the positive feelings that go along with it. Thank God/the Universe, speaking the words out loud, for blessing you with the thing you desire, specifically naming that thing or things, and briefly feeling the experience of it again if you can do so without resistance. Then release it, let it go, and give the subconscious instructions to work on it in the quantum field for you, without your focused attention to it. Itโs kind of like giving the 3-year-old a job to do to keep it busy while you focus on other things. Now, while your conscious mind is clear and open, meditate for fifteen minutes or so, just to deepen your connection with the Divine. If you begin to experience any negative thoughts or emotions throughout the day, remind your subconscious that it needs to go find what you desire in the quantum field and bring it to you.
This method will help you detach from being the victim of your subconscious mind and will strengthen your sense of achievement as youโll be more focused, confident, and tuned in. You might even start seeing amazing things showing up in your experience. I hope you have the best day ever!
